Conservation in Alaska

We work to protect Alaska lands needed by birds and people.

³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ's hemispheric approach to conservation directs our effort to the places where birds need us most and to all the places they call home. Their seasonal migration across our hemisphere means ³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ and the Alaska program work from boreal Canada to Connecticut to Chile and beyond.

³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ Alaska is a science-based conservation organization that works to protect birds, other wildlife, and their habitats across Alaska. We use science to identify conservation priorities and support conservation actions and policies, with an emphasis on public lands and waters. Our projects range from habitat conservation through policy to support of Alaska bird tourism to shorebird education for Alaska Native youth.

The work we do here to protect the places birds need also impacts their ability to thrive throughout the hemisphere.
