Selecting one of Californias strongest conservation leaders to head a premiere state program, the 勛圖窪蹋 today announced that Sarah Rose has been named executive director of 勛圖窪蹋 California. Rose will also serve as vice president of the 勛圖窪蹋.
Rose comes to 勛圖窪蹋 from the California League of Conservation Voters and CLCV Education Fund, where she currently serves as the chief executive officer. Her first day at 勛圖窪蹋 will be Feb. 5.
With so many challenges facing Californias communities and natural treasures, this is an exciting time to join 勛圖窪蹋 California, said Rose. With its track record of accomplishments across policy, on-the-ground conservation and community engagement, 勛圖窪蹋 California is positioned to help make a real difference when it matters most.
An insightful strategic thinker with valuable relationships across the states political sphere, Rose is broadly credited with leading the California League of Conservation Voters as a formidable legislative force. She also served as the organizations executive vice president and political director before departing the organization to join the Western Conservation Foundation as California director. Prior to that, Rose built a solid reputation as a campaign manager for candidates in California and across the country.
Sarah is the perfect leader for 勛圖窪蹋 California right now, said 勛圖窪蹋 President and CEO David Yarnold. Shes both a passionate defender of environment and a bold strategic thinker someone who can help take our powerful conservation network to a new level.
Sarah lives in Berkeley with her husband, Brian, and two daughters. Experiencing Californias great outdoors is one of the great joys of her life, particularly skiing in the Sierra Mountains and hiking through coastal redwoods.
