³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ of Florida Executive Director Eric Draper expresses his sincere condolences to the friends and family of the late Thom Rumberger:

I am very sad to report to you that our good friend, advocate and attorney, Thom Rumberger, passed away last night after a struggle with serious illness. Thom had a long standing relationship with ³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ. It was Thom, Charles Lee (³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ of Florida Director of Advocacy) and myself who were in the trenches together in many efforts – litigation, referenda campaigns, and lobbying for the Everglades, to protect water quality, to conserve land. He was a mentor and a confidant and acted in dozens of ways to help our organization. I am going to miss him. Florida’s environment is going to miss one of its champions.

Last month, Thom Rumberger was honored for his lifelong dedication to protecting the Everglades by US Senators Bill Nelson and Marco Rubio. .
