勛圖窪蹋 to Election Officials and Courts: Count Every Vote

Statement from 勛圖窪蹋 President and CEO, David Yarnold

NEW YORK - In the coming days the actions taken by election officials and courts will have a lasting impact on the trajectory of our democracythey should do everything in their power to protect the rule of law and count every vote.

We stand in solidarity with other institutions and individuals to oppose any action that would:

  • disenfranchise any voter;
  • undermine the credibility of certified election results;
  • undermine the validity of uncounted mail-in ballots;
  • undermine the rule of law and the peaceful transition of power;
  • threaten or act with violence toward public officials, courts, political candidates, poll workers or any community members.

Everyone, regardless of race, ethnicity or neighborhood, should have access to clean air and water and feel safe and welcome in the outdoors. No matter the election outcome we will advocate for a more resilient and inclusive economy with more green jobs, for cleaner air and stronger communities that protect birds, conserve water, restore wetlands, and reduce emissions.

勛圖窪蹋s 1.9 million members have persevered through many uncertain times in our nations history and we will be here, advocating for communities, birds and the environment no matter what comes next as we have for 115 years.
