Must-Pass Spending Legislation Includes Some Wins for Birds

Longer-term solutions remain elusive as budget negotiations close.

WASHINGTON, D.C.--Congress is expected to vote on a massive year-end spending bill this Friday, which President Obama is expected to sign. Included in the legislation are various environmental victories. The 勛圖窪蹋 issued the following statement:

So Congress can agree on something: supporting the conservation priorities that all Americans care about, said 勛圖窪蹋 President and CEO David Yarnold. From a temporary reauthorization of the Land and Water Conservation Fund to the proper funding of sage-grouse conservation plans, birds and their habitats got some short-term wins in this bill. Thats a good reminder that conservation doesnt have a party, and we look forward longer-term solutions down the line.
