This fall, celebrate migration and all of the amazing bird conservation work taking place across the Tar Heel state at ³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ North Carolina’s 2024 Summit in Durham, co-hosted with the New Hope Bird Alliance.
We’ve accomplished a lot over the last two years, from bird-friendly policies and programs launched by chapters across the state, to landmark conservation legislation passed at the N.C. General Assembly. The summit will be our chance to gather as a flock, share inspiration, and enjoy birds at the peak of fall migration. The schedule will include inspiring workshops, exciting field trips, and plenty of social and networking time in between.
The Durham Hilton Garden Inn will be our home base for the weekend, located near Durham’s 9th Street corridor and a short drive to the city’s downtown and many birding hotspots in Durham and Orange Counties. (We'll have a block of rooms available at a special price once registration launches in July.)
Workshops will cover a variety of topics and offer new ways for you and your chapter to share inspiration with your peers and deepen your understanding of bird conservation and advocacy. Here’s a quick preview:
Attendees will have the option to join a wide variety of field trips to see all the birds Durham and the surrounding area has to offer during the height of fall migration, from forests and grasslands to urban parks and botanical gardens.
