Macie works as ³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ Vermont's Conservation Senior Associate, focusing on advancing the goals of the Bird and Bee Friendly Farming (BBFF) program and other Working Lands initiatives.

Originally from Louisiana, Macie has dedicated her career to wildlife conservation and ecological management. After studying wildlife ecology at Louisiana State University, Macie spent several years working with sea turtles in the Southeastern US, gaining hands-on experience with rare and threatened species conservation. Macie then shifted her focus to habitat restoration and ecological monitoring, spending several years working on saltmarsh restoration and community science initiatives with Mass³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ in Massachusetts before making the move north to Vermont.

When she's not working, Macie enjoys a variety of hobbies from reading and pottery to gardening and hiking with her pup, Isla.
