Marnie Urso is the Senior Policy Director for ³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ Great Lakes, where she leads efforts to advance environmental public policy across the Great Lakes region and in Washington, D.C. With over 25 years of experience, Marnie has been a driving force behind state and federal initiatives focused on Great Lakes restoration and climate change policy.
Before joining the ³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ Great Lakes office, Marnie served as National Campaigns Manager for ³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ, supporting state offices in developing and executing climate policy campaigns. Earlier in her career, she directed ³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ’s successful campaign to reinstate Ohio’s renewable energy standards and played a key role in the ratification of the Great Lakes Compact. Marnie also served as co-chair of the Healing Our Waters–Great Lakes Coalition, a leading alliance of more than 180 organizations across eight states advocating for the restoration and protection of the Great Lakes. She holds a degree in Environmental Science and previously led the Ohio office of the national League of Conservation Voters as State Director.
