For more than 10 years, ³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ Southwest has partnered with the Wild At Heart Raptor Center to support Burrowing Owls across Arizona. Once common throughout central Arizona, these small, ground-dwelling owls are rapidly disappearing due to development. To give them a fighting chance, volunteers help build artificial burrows, construct temporary release tents where owls acclimate for about a month, and later remove the tents so the birds can fly free.

Volunteer at the Rio Salado ³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ Center in South Phoenix to help restore the Salt River and its surrounding habitats. Activities include trash clean-up, removing invasive plants that threaten native species, and planting native vegetation to strengthen the ecosystem. Restrooms and indoor resting areas are available throughout the day. These hands-on cleanups are a meaningful way to support local wildlife, improve the health of the river and riparian areas, and connect with the community while enjoying the outdoors.
