Working with landowners to steward the woods of Vermont

Tim Duclos with landowner

Vermont’s forests provide critical habitat that birds rely on for their breeding, migration, and other essential needs. Eastern forest breeding birds have experienced a -27% population loss since 1970, largely due to habitat loss and fragmentation. Forest landowners can help us halt -and reverse- bird population declines by becoming informed stewards that contribute to a growing network of healthy, diverse forest habitat.
