³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ has been sugaring at our Green Mountain ³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ Center property in Huntington, Vermont since 1972. Every spring, we tap 600 maple trees in our Bird-Friendly Sugarbush and produce nearly 100 gallons of delicious maple syrup. We still do things the old-fashioned way, collecting sap in buckets and boiling it over a wood fire at our sugarhouse. We welcome thousands of visitors at our sugarhouse each year for sugaring education programs and our Sugar on Snow Parties, held during Maple Open House Weekend.
The trails winding through our Bird-Friendly Sugarbush are open to explore year-round. In the summer, bird lovers may spot Scarlet Tanagers, Wood Thrush, Ovenbirds, Black-throated Blue Warblers and many other birds that depend on our sugarbush's healthy, diverse habitat for foraging and raising their young.
Support Green Mountain ³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ Center’s Bird-Friendly Maple Sugaring and nature education programs by adopting a maple tree in our sugarbush! For $100 your name will be printed on maple leaf cards displayed at our sugarhouse and on a sap bucket for this year’s sugaring season (March and April). You will also receive a pint of our delicious maple syrup and a coupon for one sugar on snow treat at our Sugar on Snow Parties.
