About the Greenwich ³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ Center and Sanctuary
Greenwich ³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ Center stewards seven sanctuaries and private parcels (totaling 686 acres) in Greenwich, including the Main Sanctuary (and ³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ Center) located at 613 Riversville Road. Our center opened its doors in 1943, as the ³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ’s first environmental education center, and has been welcoming visitors and serving as a leader in place-based nature education ever since.
Hardwood forests, open fields, a lake, streams, and vernal pools, as well as remnants of early homestead settlement, can be found at Greenwich ³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ Center's Main Sanctuary.
